Saya memang akan selalu memberi peluang kedua. Kerana kita memang harus mencuba. Tahun lalu (mungkin album tersebut dikeluarkan pada tahun 2008 tetapi saya memilikinya pada tahun 2009) Bahrain ada mengeluarkan album dan sebuah lagunya 'Biarkan Berlalu' yang dikatakan atelah mengganas di Carta Lagu Popular KLFM namun begitu setelah mendengar lagu tersebut memang saya tak tangkap cintan langsung. Maka nama Bahrain pun hilang dari radar muzik saya. meskipun saya memang berniat untuk menulis mengenai CD pertama beliau. Maher's Biodata : Maher’s first musical inspiration came from his father, who was a singer himself, performing locally in the beautiful Mediterranean city of Tripoli - Lebanon. Fascinated by the music and instruments, Maher got his first keyboard when he was only ten and ever since music officially became part of Maher’s world.

The family moved to Sweden when Maher was only 8, where he continued his schooling, and later entered university and got a Bachelors degree in Aeronautical Engineering. With things changing around him, one thing remained the same - his strong passion for music. He would spend late nights at school with his friends where they would sing, rap, compose and experiment with music in every way. It didn’t take him long to realize that music became an integral part of who he is.

After being involved for a while in the music scene in Sweden as a music producer, Maher was introduced to RedOne, a gifted music producer who was fast rising in the music scene in Sweden. Maher started working with RedOne with Swedish artists, and later moved with him to New York. For a few years he was in the middle of the hot rush of the NY music industry, working with chart topping artists such as Kat Deluna on her debut album which included smash hits ‘Whine up’ and ‘Run the Show’.

Maher had what many would describe as a dream job for someone so young in such a glamorous business, but for Maher it felt like this was far from what he would call ‘the dream’, “I loved the music but I hated everything that surrounded it, it always felt like something wasn’t right”. RedOne was on the verge of breaking into the big time, going on to work with artists like Akon, Lady Gaga, Enrique Iglesias, Brandy, New Kids on the Block, and Michael Jackson to mention just a few, and becoming one of the most sought-after music producers in the world. Maher however was restless and eventually decided that the music industry and all that surrounded wasn’t the right place for him and he returned to Sweden. It wasn’t until he met a group of brothers who were active in the Islamic community in Stockholm and he started regularly attending his local mosque that he felt like he’d reached ‘home’.

Maher feels blessed to able to finally find the right way, and feels like it’s his turn now to help others through his music to do the same: “If I had one thing I’d like to tell people out there it would be that it’s so easy to see the right way if we just open our eyes and look properly; that’s what happened to me.”

I found his CD during my visit to PBAKL 2010 last Sunday. To the very first time when listen to the very first track of his CD, it really, really touch my heart. Maher Zain is a Lebanese living in Sweden (what a co-incidence as there will be a protest against Swedish Goverment in front of the Swedish Embassy due to the Prophet Muhammad Caricature that has been published again in the Swedish Newspaper this Friday. We Are The World 25 for Haiti

"We Are the World 25 for Haiti" is a 2010 song and charity single recorded by the supergroup Artists for Haiti. It is a remake of the 1985 hit song "We Are the World", which was written by American musicians Michael Jackson and Lionel Richie, and was recorded by USA for Africa to benefit famine relief in Africa. Initially, in late 2009, it had been suggested to Richie and Quincy Jones—producer of the original "We Are the World—that a re-cut version of the song be re-released under the title "Live 25". 25 refers to the years since the original recording. Following the magnitude 7.0 Mw earthquake in Haiti, which devastated the area and killed hundreds of thousands of people, it was agreed that the song would be re-recorded by new artists, in the hope that it would reach a new generation and help benefit the people of Haiti.

The song was recorded in fourteen hours by over eighty artists on February 1, and was released and debuted on February 12, 2010, during the opening ceremony of the 2010 Winter Olympics. "We Are the World 25 for Haiti" was released as a CD single and a digital download. Lengths of the song vary from around three minutes to nearly seven minutes. It was produced by Rickey Minor and RedOne, and executively produced by Richie, Jones and Haitian-American musician Wyclef Jean. A music video directed by Paul Haggis was released to accompany and promote the song.

"We Are the World 25 for Haiti" is musically structured similar to "We Are The World", but includes auto-tune and a rap verse, which was written by some of the song's hip hop artists. Michael Jackson died months before the song's release, but his material from the 1985 recording sessions was incorporated into the song and music video, as per the request of his mother, Katherine. His younger sister Janet duets with him on the song, and his nephews Taj, TJ and Taryll—collectively known as 3T—feature on the track's chorus. "We Are the World 25 for Haiti" received generally negative reviews by contemporary music critics, with criticism focused on the song's new musical additions, as well as the choice of artists who appear on the track. The song was commercially successful worldwide, charting within the top twenty and top ten in multiple countries.

Ramai yang kenal Super Star Hong Kong Andy Lau. Ramai juga yang tahu bahaya Andy Lau telahpun berkahwin dengan seorang bekas Peserta Akhir Ratu Cantik Malayisa, Carol Chu. The couple was married in Clark County, Nevada, USA on June 23, 2008. Andy membuat pengumuman tentang perkahwinan rahsia ini tahun lalu, Bulan Julai/Ogos jika saya masih ingat lagi.

Jom Heboh Takdir Cinta Budak Metro

Ini merupakan kali kedua saya singgah di Booth Harian Metro sempena Karnival Jom Heboh TV3 untuk bertemu dan menikmati persembahan Iqwal Budak metro WCOPA !!! Kali pertama dahulu semasa Karnival Jom Heboh menjengah Danga Bay, Johor Bahru. Dan kali ini sempatlah saya untuk menjadi model muka depan Harian Metro bersama Iwal. (Ini bukan typo error, memang saya sukan panggil Iqwal dengan nama Iwal sahaja)

Suara Iqwal memang sedap di dengar... Salah, bukan sahaja sedap di dengar tetapi Iqwal juga bijak memilih lagu yang sesuai dengan suara dan gaya beliau. Petang tadi saya sempat mendengar Iqwal mendendangkan lagu Sampai Syurga (Faizal Tahir - FT). Bila dengar Iqwal menyampaikan lagu ini... Ternyata ia seperti milik Iqwal kerana Iqwal menyanyi mengikut acuan sendiri dan bukan meniru gaya FT. Sementara lagu kedua yang sempat saya ikuti ialah Takdir Cinta Kita (TCK) yang sebenarnya lagu kegemaran saya di dalam album pertama Iqwal !!! YES.. TCK memang begitu menyentuh jiwa, masakan tidak lagu ini menduduki tangga ke 5 di Carta JaseBoard Hits Countdown 2009 (Malay)


Mungkin tuah saya juga hari ini kerana akhirnya berjaya bertemu dengan Jebart. Siapa Jeabart? Jebat sebenarnya adalah pencipta lagu TCK yang mendayu-dayu itu. Saya amat berharap agar lagu ini dapat di calonkan unutk MuzikMuzik25 tahun hadapan. Tetapi yang lebih penting saya juga amat berharap agar Iqwal dapat di calonkan untuk beebrapa katgegori di AIM 2010 nanti.
